Invisalign

Invisalign is a series of clear, removable teeth aligners that dental surgeons use as an alternative to traditional metal braces.
Advantages
The most obvious advantage of this treatment is cosmetic. The aligners are completely transparent. This way of aligning your teeth is far more difficult to detect than the traditional wire and bracket braces. This method is very popular amongst working adults because they do not have to worry about the look of metal braces.
These Invisalign aligners are also easily removable, thus food can be consumed without the worry of having the food stuck between the metal wires and brackets.

Challenges
The fact that the Invisalign aligners are removable means they are not continually correcting the teeth. The success of the Invisalign aligners largely depends on the patient's commitment to wear the aligners for a minimum of 20-22 hours per day; removing them only when they are eating or brushing their teeth.
Certain teeth structure could also face difficulty in getting the teeth to move in place.
Treatment time
Average treatment time is about one year, depending on the complexity of the treatment. Simple treatments (minor crowding) may be as short as twenty five weeks.
