Wisdom Tooth Removal
A wisdom tooth usually appears between the ages of 17 and 25. Most adults have four wisdom teeth but it is possible to have more.
Wisdom teeth commonly affect other teeth as they develop, becoming impacted (grow sideways). They are usually extracted when this occurs because it affects the overall oral hygiene of the patient and results in decay of the neighbouring teeth as well.
If left untreated, the infection caused by the food particles trapped in the jaw area behind the wisdom teeth, where regular brushing and flossing is difficult and ineffective, could result in more severe dental problems.
We will be glad to have a discussion with you on how you can remove your wisdom teeth efficiently with minimal discomfort.
